Joining a CMCA Committee

    In an effort to reflect diversity of knowledge & experience and together with the desire and willingness to serve on a Colorado Municipal Clerks Association committee, an application and appointment process is once again being rolled out for determining Committee membership for 2020. The Committees for which this process would apply include:







    -Records Management




    Applications will be accepted beginning Wednesday, November 6, 2019 through Friday, November 22, 2019. Completed applications are to be submitted to Cheryl Aragon, CMCA Director, no later than Friday, November 22, 2019, 5:00 p.m.

    The 2020 CMCA Executive Board will serve as the committee application review and selection team, along with Committee Chairs and Vice Chairs. Appointments to Committees are expected to occur no later than Friday, December 13, 2019.

    Commonly Asked Questions:

    Q – If I am a Chair or Vice Chair in the coming year, do I still submit an application?

    A – No. Chairs and Vice Chairs are automatically appointed to their Committee without an application being required.

    Q – If I served on a Committee last year and want to serve again, is an application needed for 2020?

    A – Yes. Regardless of membership in the previous year, applications are required for everyone wanting to serve in the new year.

    Q – Can I apply to serve on more than one Committee?

    A – Yes. You will be asked on the application form to rank your choices (i.e., first choice, second choice, etc.)
