Awards Committee

The CMCA Awards Committee's primary purpose is the solicitation and evaluation of nominations, and the selection of recipients for awards including CMCA Clerk of the Year, Rookie of the Year, Outstanding Contribution to a Municipality by a Clerk, Outstanding Contribution to CMCA by a Municipal Clerk and Outstanding contribution to CMCA by a Person or Organization other than a clerk. Additionally, the CMCA Awards Committee is responsible for recommending to the Board members who may be eligible for special merit or recognition in a category not listed above and for identifying members who are leaving the profession with at least 10 years of active service and thus are eligible for a retirement award.

This committee is responsible for coordinating the award and recognition programs for CMCA, including working with the President to coordinate any presentation(s) needed and Acting as the Public Relations Officer by writing and distributing news releases regarding awards and also transferring records to the CMCA Historian for keeping.
