Education is the Cornerstone of the Colorado Municipal Clerks Association! 

CMCA offers many educational opportunities each year, from our week-long Institute, to a two-hour-long "Lunch and Learn"!  Everyone is welcome to register. Enrollees in the International Institute of Municipal Clerks Certification Program can receive credit toward their certification for the hours they attend at CMCA sessions if they complete the required assessments.

In addition, CMCA annually plans Professional Development Opportunities (PDOs) throughout the state.  Many CMCA members are certified trainers who also teach as part of the CMCA Education Program. Additionally, the CMCA Education Committee plans and develops programs for the Colorado Municipal League’s Annual Conference in June, the Colorado Institute for Municipal Clerks in July, and the Annual Conference in October. There are also several Master’s Academies throughout the year.

Cancellation/Refund Policy:

If you need to cancel a registration for an education event other than Institute and Academy, you must notify Kathie Novak via email (cmcaclerks@gmail.com) at least 3 days prior to the event.  No refunds will be issued, but a credit for a future training event will be applied to your account.   Cancellation requests received after the deadline, no-shows and instances where participants need to leave the event before it is over will be charged the full registration fee and are not entitled to any refund.  Please see Institute/Academy pages for specific information on the cancellation/refund policy for these programs.
